Apples and Snakes: The Podcast — Live Recording with Sophia Thakur
Join us for a special live recording of Apples and Snakes: The Podcast — an afternoon exploring how performance poetry has the power to connect us all.
In this intimate session, host Yomi Sode is joined by internationally acclaimed writer and performer Sophia Thakur for the Season 4 finale. Known for her moving, melodic storytelling and her ability to hold a room in stillness, Sophia’s work invites us to reflect, feel, and reconnect.
The event will feature an open conversation between Sophia and Yomi, followed by live readings of Sophia’s own poetry and a chosen poem that has inspired her journey.
To mark the occasion, we’ll also welcome back previous guests from across the season — a gathering of powerful voices in contemporary poetry.
Apples and Snakes: The Podcast celebrates Black British poets in candid conversation about their craft — a living archive of voices speaking truth to power.
