Bebé “Dissolucão” Acoustic Performance & Conversation
Hosted by Leon Rehman
About the event
As a part of her first trip to the UK, Bebé joins us for an intimate acoustic performance and conversation around her new album, “Dissolução,” a record that is suspended between collapse and transformation. Rooted in Brazilian songwriting but shaped by jazz, indie and freeform experimentation, the album marks a new chapter for the São Paulo artist, who steps into the role of producer for the first time.
Across the evening, Bebé will perform songs from the record in a stripped back setting before opening into a wider discussion about the emotional and creative process behind the work and the idea of allowing things to come apart for something else to emerge.
There’s a looseness to Dissolução that makes it feel more lived and less constructed; fragments of memory, Brazilian musical heritage, jazz phrasing and contemporary textures all moving together without compromising on intimacy.
Part performance, part conversation, the evening is intended as a shared space to sit with the music and discuss the emotional landscape within it.
