About the event

“I believe listening to music on vinyl is a holistic practice, at least that’s what my body tells me.”
Shadé Joseph is a multidisciplinary artist from East London whose work invites audiences into spaces of self-discovery, imagination, and empathy through music, literature, and audio storytelling.
As part of her Mason & Fifth residency exploring record culture, Shadé curates intimate listening sessions centred on albums she’s curious to explore, creating space to pause, be present, reflect together, and step back into the day with renewed energy.
For this session, she selects Kokoroko’s We Could Be More — a warm, expansive record that blends jazz, soul, and West African influences into something both grounding and transportive.
