About this event

Poet and novelist Joe Dunthorne (Submarine, Wild Abandon) returns to the Mason & Fifth Cinema with a cult classic that redefined cinematic suspense — Steven Spielberg’s Duel! (1971). A lean, nerve-twisting masterpiece, Duel pits a lone driver against a faceless trucker in a relentless road battle that’s as existential as it is exhilarating.
The evening opens with Yellow Bucket (2025), a brand-new short by filmmaker Simon Brooke — a tender, surreal meditation on memory, loss, and the quiet rituals that hold us together.
Two films, one thread: when the ordinary turns uncanny, survival becomes an art form.
