Greg Wilson is a Merseyside-based DJ who has played a pivotal role in the development of UK club culture over the last half century via his tenure at Wigan Pier, Manchester’s Legend, and The Hacienda during its formative period. A DJ Mag “Icon”, his three Credit to the Edit compilations did much to cement his reputation, alongside his 2009 Radio One Essential Mix, which was selected as one of 10 classics by the BBC. A renowned commentator on dance music and popular culture, his Electrofunkroots archive and Being A DJ blogs are touchstones for many, while his 2020 book, Discotheque Archives, received widespread kudos.
