About this event
Broadcaster, DJ and writer Haseeb Iqbal leads an immersive exploration into the sound, soul and stories of West London’s reggae heritage. Through film, conversation and curated listening, he traces the genre’s journey from the streets of Ladbroke Grove to its influence on global music and culture.
The afternoon features an intimate listening session followed by screenings of Horace Ové’s seminal film Pressure (1976) and Franco Rosso’s Babylon (1980) — two cinematic landmarks that capture the politics, poetry and pulse of Black British life in the late twentieth century.
