Women Artists’ Art Week World
About the event
Women Artists Art Week World (WAAW World) returns for its fifth edition with an ambitious
international programme celebrating the visibility, influence, and creative power of women artists across the globe. Now spanning the U.K., Europe, Africa, Asia, and the United States, WAAW World 2026 brings together leading cultural institutions, galleries, and creative platforms through a dynamic series of exhibitions, talks, performances, and public activations. Originally conceived as part of a dissertation at Central Saint Martins in London, the project has evolved from an independent initiative into a global movement driven entirely by volunteer efforts and sustained by a dedicated art community committed to meaningful change. At its core, WAAW World remains a non-profit platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of women artists, fostering meaningful dialogue, and creating accessible opportunities for engagement across the contemporary art landscape. Its continued expansion stands as a
testament to the collective energy of artists, curators, and cultural partners working together to reshape representation in the arts.
At the heart of this year’s London programme, WAAW World takes over Mason & Fifth in Westbourne Park, transforming the space into a vibrant hub for cultural exchange. Through a
WAAW-curated exhibition and immersive public programme, the venue becomes a living, breathing creative environment. Across the week, visitors can experience artist talks, spoken word performances, DJ acts and hands-on art masterclasses open to all. Inviting both residents and the wider community to participate, the programme brings art beyond
traditional gallery settings and into everyday life. This collaboration reflects a shared vision of urban living shaped by arts and culture creating a space where people can live, create, learn, and connect through a shared artistic energy.
The Conservatory at Mason & Fifth will be transformed into an immersive, interactive exhibition space curated by Annya Sand and Alena Peschek. Titled Circle, the exhibition celebrates a powerful network of female artists who have continuously championed, inspired, and uplifted one another throughout their creative journeys. Drawing on the symbolism of the circle – unity, wholeness, protection, and continuity – the show explores the strength of collaboration and the enduring impact of community. Without a beginning or hierarchy, the circle becomes a metaphor for shared creative energy, mutual respect, and collective empowerment over competition. Through Circle, WAAW World aims to foster solidarity while echoing the long-standing tradition of women gathering to exchange knowledge, stories, and artistic expression within a safe and inclusive space. Featured artists include Dyana Gravina, Jo Guile, Alena Peschek, Tyreis Holder, Lydia Smith, and Daniella Celine Williams.
