MIDCENTURY MODERN
Takeover by Modern Shows
About this event
Design lovers, consider this your invitation.
For one day only, Modern Shows takes over Mason & Fifth — transforming one of London’s most talked-about creative spaces into a carefully curated world of midcentury design.
Set along the Grand Union Canal, Mason & Fifth is a former London taxi headquarters reimagined as a design-led hotel and cultural hub. Think studio apartments, co-working spaces, a canal-side restaurant and café, and a building that hums with creativity at every turn.
Following collaborations with names like Nicholas Daley and Margaret Howell, this special takeover brings the spirit of Modern Shows’ renowned Midcentury Modern fairs into a more intimate, immersive setting — one that feels perfectly at home within the architecture and atmosphere of the space.
For this edition, expect a refined selection of over 40 dealers and designers, each chosen for their eye, their craft, and their ability to surprise.
What you’ll find:
– Iconic midcentury furniture
– Statement lighting
– Original artworks
– Collectible modern design pieces
Less traditional fair, more design discovery — thoughtfully staged throughout the building, inviting you to wander, pause, and uncover something unexpected.
And the best part — entry is completely free.
Drop in, take your time, and make a day of it. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or newly drawn to vintage design, this is a rare chance to experience Midcentury Modern® in a setting that feels both relaxed and quietly inspiring.
