Join us for an intimate evening with one of the most exciting new voices in contemporary Brazilian music, Nina Maia. 

Known for her emotionally rich songwriting and distinctive blend of MPB, jazz, indie pop and contemporary Brazilian sounds, Nina’s acclaimed debut album INTEIRA has established her as one of Brazil’s most compelling emerging artists, earning international recognition and a worldwide vinyl release through Mr Bongo.  

Rather than a traditional concert or interview, this is a listening experience. 

We’ll journey through the album one song at a time. After each track, we’ll pause to reflect, opening up a conversation with Nina about the stories, emotions, memories and ideas behind the music before continuing to the next piece. 

The evening is designed to be interactive. Guests are encouraged to contribute their own thoughts, ask questions and explore the themes that emerge from each song. Together, we’ll dive beneath the surface of the music into Nina’s creative process and internal world, discussing everything from identity and belonging to vulnerability, artistic practice and the experiences that shape us. 

While the music provides the starting point, the conversation belongs to everyone in the room. Different perspectives, interpretations and lived experiences often reveal new meanings within the songs, transforming the evening into a genuine exchange between artist and audience. 

Hosted by photographer and curator Leon Rehman, these intimate sessions celebrate the increasingly rare act of listening with intention, creating space to slow down, hear an album as it was meant to be experienced, and discover the stories that exist beneath the notes.
