Welcome to the readinroom, curated by Nubia Assata.
Bring any text: a novel, article, magazine, script, anthology, or anything else you would like to dedicate time to reading intentionally. The only catch? We want you to have something to say about what you read.
A new word you discovered. Something you resonated with. An idea you disagreed with. Something that made you think differently. Something that speaks to the world around us.
The readinroom is a space to give reading your full attention, while making time to think critically about what you encounter. Whether you want to start the book that has been sitting on your shelf for weeks or finally finish the article you saved months ago, bring it with you.
We provide dictionaries, note paper and stationery to support your reading, thinking and annotation.
We can also print up to 5 A4 pages of articles/research papers, with up to 5 days notice.
