About this event

Reggae University invites you to an evening of reflection, record and resistance with Zakiya McKenzie, as she presents her testimony on The History of Jamaica Vol. I, published by Rough Trade Books.
This is a listening-led session rooted in memory and meaning — tracing Jamaica’s layered histories through personal testimony, archival thought and cultural inheritance. A space to sit with the past as something alive, unfinished, and deeply connected to the present.
Come to listen closely, think deeply, and engage with history not as a footnote, but as lived experience, spoken aloud.
