About this event

Rewilding is a hopeful form of ecological restoration based on global conservation science. By reintroducing missing species and restoring natural processes it is possible to kickstart the recovery of ecosystems, making them more biodiverse, resilient and productive.
Join us for an evening with Citizen Zoo, to learn how you can help rewild your city. Gain an introductory understanding of Citizen Zoo’s approach to rewilding, with a focus on exciting species reintroductions, urban ecosystem recovery, and the importance of rewilding people by empowering them to take an active role protecting their local nature!
You will leave understanding some of the steps you could take on a local level to rewild your neighbourhood or put into place in your Ranger project.
Citizen Zoo is a pioneering urban rewilding organisation. Since 2018, we have launched several ground-breaking rewilding projects from restoring home-reared large marsh grasshoppers in East Anglia, to returning free-living water voles the Hogsmill River, to establishing London’s first urban beavers in Ealing. Through these projects and more we are working towards our ultimate goal of Rewilding the Future, tackling the climate and ecological crises with positive action, and helping to create a wilder, more nature-connected society.
